He participated as Assistant Conductor of the Colombian Youth Philharmonic (FJC) in his “Libertad 2018” tour. He was selected to participate in the XII edition of the International Conducting Competition of the Cadaqués Orchestra and was also one of the conductors of the Colombian National Symphony Orchestra in the commitments of the visit of Pope Francisco to Colombia. In the framework of the Colombia-France 2017 year, the Ministry of Culture of Colombia selected him as the artistic director of the Colombo-French Binational Orchestra, performing a series of concerts in Paris highlighting the inaugural concert of the Colombian season in France performed at the Philharmonie in Paris.

Between 2015 and 2017 he played the role of National Symphonic Director in the National Batuta Foundation, a program of children’s and youth orchestras in Colombia that impacts more than 40,000 children and young people in the country, being the principal conductor of the Batuta Bogotá Metropolitan Orchestra and the National Director of the orchestral department.

He has conducted the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the Eafit Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador, among others, he also worked as a cellist of the EAFIT Symphony Orchestra between 2005 and 2015, being principal Cello since 2010 until his retirement in the year 2015.

Between 2005 and 2009 he participated in the III, IV and V International Violoncello course and in the IV and V teacher training course conducted by the Latin American Violoncello Academy in the city of Caracas (Venezuela); and in 2007 he was a guest musician at the I International Music Festival of Cartagena. In the summer of 2010, he was invited as a supernumerary musician to the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, in Spain, and in the summer of 2011 he participated as a fellow in the Chamber Orchestra of Cadaqués, making a tour of Barcelona and the Escorial.

In his role as a soloist, he has played with the symphonic orchestras Universidad EAFIT, Medellín Philharmonic, Cali Philharmonic and Colombian National Symphony.

His extensive experience in the musical art sector has allowed him to lead various cultural projects, from the chamber music format to the symphony orchestra, and develop pedagogical skills in working with children and young people.

He obtained his bachelor degree of Musician with an emphasis in Cello at Universidad Eafit, and continued his studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Salamanca (Spain) where he completed his Postgraduate in interpretation of the Violoncello. He completed a Master’s degree in Orchestral conducting at Universidad EAFIT, obtaining his degree in 2015.

He currently combines his work as a conductor, soloist, pedagogue and member of various chamber music ensembles.
